The Lion 8x8 is Volkan's flagship ARFF platform and the largest apparatus in the Lion family — designed for Category 9–10 response at major international gateways and military airbases. Twin Mercedes-Benz OM473 engines deliver 1,250 HP combined, each driving an independent PTO-mounted fire pump so pump-and-roll is never compromised. 17,000 L of water, 2,000 L of foam and up to 500 kg of DCP give crews the agent capacity to blanket wide-body aircraft and handle the longest sustained attacks.

Allen + Co. supplies the Lion 8x8 as a special-order configuration, specified with a Caribbean tropicalisation package — corrosion protection, marine-grade fasteners, climate-tuned cooling — and commissioned on-island with trained technicians and a stocked Caribbean parts supply.
